Me Myself and I

I had a very interesting discussion with my wife this morning. It was all about who we think we really are. We were chatting about how our past experiences and beliefs either move us  towards our goals and dreams or move us away from them.

While analyzing the reasons why we behave in such a manner, she mentioned the fact that people like mother Theresa. Jesus Christ, Dr Wayne Dyer  or Mahatma Gandhi didn’t have to write down their goals as we are so often told to do. They just were in total alignment with themselves. In her words their actions were effortless.

I agreed with her but still pointed out that we really do not know if their goals were not written down or at least kept at the top of their awareness. I pointed out that it is so important to know where you are going.

It starts with the three d’s . Desire , Direction and Destination. Without desire nothing happens. Its the desire that gives you a sense of direction and it is that sense of direction that ultimately leads you to your destination.

She agreed with me however still insisting that there are those who just know. Unfortunately the discussion had to be cut short because I was preparing for a busy day with 6 people lined up for eye surgery. We agreed to delve deeper later on.

The parting idea was that when body , mind and spirit are aligned anything is possible because we are tapping into oursource (God), where all things are manifested.

We have to be in full control of all three to be able to have the Universe do our bidding. So few of us have total control of our bodies much less our minds and least of all most of us do not know how to awaken the spirit that lies in each of us.

Please help me continue this discussion…I would like to hear your comments. For centuries we have always known about aligning mind body and spirit. Lets hear your thoughts on this.

Very interesting topic. I too, believe that each one of us has a purpose in life. It lies deep within our subconscious mind. This goes without saying, that without desire there can never be any sense of direction in which to achieve our goals.

On the other hand, if our body, mind and spirit are in perfect alignment perhaps our goals are already written down, but our eyes may not be fully open because most of us are unaware of how to control our inner abilities.

The question is, should we really be tapping into the spiritual realm, and if so, to what extent.

    Very good question Ricky
I agree that if our body, mind and spirit are in perfect alignment we can achieve practically anything. I believe that our goals are the ones we choose. However the sad truth is that most of us are ignorant of the powers that lie within us. To be aware is the key ingredient here. It takes awareness to be able to work on the thoughts that cause our limiting beliefs and our results. The spiritual realm is cause and our physical reality is effect.
